Piaget’s 3 types of knowledge that children acquire

  1. Physical – Characteristics and attributes of objects.
  2. Social Knowledge – Transmitted social customs
  3. Logical mathematical – Needs to be constructed

All three are inter-related. Learning experiences for young children should emphasize of constructive knowledge, and not transmission.Construct children’s understanding and knowledge, by helping them to become thinkers.
